Most of the people love to fly in the sky, well nowadays we can. As there are many low-cost airlines which provides less facilities but who cares we just want to see the earth from the skies.
OK, what kind of plane nowadays we are seeing flying in the skies?

SUBSONIC:-
These are the type of aircraft we are seeing today.
Subsonic means the aircraft whose cruise speed is less than the speed of sound.
SUPERSONIC:-
And the aircraft whose cruise speed is more than the speed of sound is called as Supersonic aircraft.
CONCORDE was one of the supersonic aircraft.
Most of the people might don't know that there used to be a plane which reaches the cruise speed more than speed of sound.
Yes today we are taking about the CONCORDE aircraft.

After the crash of Air France Concorde flight 4590, everyone got scared in travelling in supersonic Concorde jet. As the no one preferred to travel in Concorde the company was in loss.

The last flight of Concorde for Air France was on June 27.
The last flight of Concorde for British Airways was on October 27.
This was the marvelous piece of engineering in aviation.
Concorde severed as commercial aircraft for 27 years and one day we might see this beast in the skies again.

That time only the fighter jets have the capability to travel faster than the speed of sound, Engineers came with idea of supersonic passenger jet so that most of the people can travel faster than sound.
But few passengers who traveled in that doesn't knew the fare. This means that tickets were too high.
Most of the people couldn't afford.
In present the ticket would have cost $5000 - $10000 depending upon your route.
WHY CONCORDE WAS SO SPECIAL:-
- The first flight made by the Concorde was on Jan 21, 1976.
- It was the first supersonic aircraft, 2 times faster than speed of sound ( 1354 mph or 2179 km/h) or Mach 2.04.
- Concorde used to reach to 60,000 ft and people can see the curvature of the earth.
- The first two commercial airliner bought this beast, Air France and British Airways.
- The distance between Paris and New York is usually 7 hrs but Concorde covered in just 3 hrs.

On July 25, 2000, passengers boarded the Air France flight 4590 from Paris to New York.
The weather was pleasant with no delay. The flight came on the runway for the take-off.
When the flight crossed half the runway, a explosive sound disturbed the cabin.
When people see outside from the window, the engine was on fire.
But the aircraft reached the V 1. (take-off speed or the speed at which the take-off cannot be aborted)
or they could overrun the runway. So they pitched the nose up but, the engine was fire and just few minutes after the take-off the Air France flight 4590 crashed.
All the 109 (100 passengers and nine crew members) people on board died and four people died on ground.

CRASH CAUSE:-
After the crash the investigators find the actual cause of Concorde crash.
This was the small titanium piece fallen from another aircraft.
When the aircraft was heading for take-off that titanium piece which was fallen form another aircraft burst the tire which causes the ignition in the fuel tank and leads to a disaster.
